
Novedia has defined and implemented the US mobile strategy for a major Pan-American web portal with 45 million unique visitors per month.
The aim of this assignment was to seize business opportunities and maximize this channel's potential for content distribution.
The first phase in defining a strategy consisted of analysing several aspects:
- The client's strengths and weaknesses: what strategies have already been initiated? Which of the group's assets should be capitalized upon? What should be the level of involvement in the mobile ecosystem?
- The evolution of the market and the mobile value chain in the US
- Benchmarking of successful business models
- Competitive analysis of the Internet ecosystem (positioning of media groups, operators, aggregators and content providers)
- Barriers to entry (connections with operators, market maturity)
- Revenue perspectives
The second phase consisted of making strategic recommendations and providing a detailed roll-out plan.
