Web 2.0

Novedia has been involved in defining and implementing web 2.0 strategies and community tools for many years. Now we are going even further by assisting web 2.0 players to define and implement their mobile strategy.

The first steps towards virtual communities were made possible by the development of specific tools: blogs, social networks, online sharing sites (photos, music…). These have enabled millions of people to gather and share around multiple subjects and become active contributors to a virtual world by posting information and creating content.

In these early stages, new players have emerged, becoming - in a very short time - key actors with strong brand awareness and driving large, targeted audiences.

In a second phase, 2.0 leaders are today considering the mobile channel:

- As a means to stay in contact with their audience, by supporting them on the move (always on) and offering innovative products and services.

- As an additional revenue driver by selling their audience, which is key for these industries mostly based on evolving business models.

Even though many players have not yet started to think about these opportunities, a third phase is already emerging: the federation of communities around entertainment-based content universes (music, video games, virtual worlds, cartoons…). Such systems will be linked to native business models and consistent with the values of the universe they originate from. We call it « Entertainment 2.0 ». .
